A Comparison of Two Ads

The left one is an ad of Chanel, and the right one is an ad of Armani. The two ads about these famous brand clothes are both very attractive to consumers, and there are several skills that make people fall in love with them.
Both ads give consumers an impression that they are fashionable and have great taste. For example, The main color of Chanel’s ad is gold, the most fashionable color nowadays. It’s black background also makes consumers think that this brand is very up-to-date. Black and gold are so match that the general appearance of the picture is not only harmonious but also really trendy. Same as Chanel’s ad, Armani’s also chooses black as its background, and the effect is as fabulous as Chanel’s. The model wears a formal dress of the contracting color white, which is perfectly set off by the black background.
Both ads use sexy stimuli to attract consumers’ attention. The gold dress in Chanel’s ad is half transparent, making the body shape of the model to be seen clearly , and gold is a sexy color itself. Also, the model’s hair is flying in the air, making her even more charming. For the Armani’s part, the breast line of the white dress is really low, and the model shows a sexy pose.
Despite so much in the same way, the style and what impression both ads want to give to consumers are quite different. The style of Chanel is bold, and they tend to use really bright colors that catch people eyes immediately. The whole ad is more vigorous and luxurious than Armani’s. In the contrast, Armani seem to want consumers to refer to them as a brand of great taste more than just fashionable. The whole ad give people an atmosphere of mystery.
The sexy and fashionable stimuli attract consumers’ attention, but what’s more important is that both of them have their own style.
